Following a short closure over the festive season, the SNC Job Club has re-opened its doors this week to continue offering free and confidential advice on a wide range of topics to help equip people with the tools and skills to find work.
Councillor Stephen Clarke, SNC’s portfolio holder for growth and regeneration, said “The Job Club has seen huge success since it started in 2010, helping over 500 people back into work.
"If it’s your new year’s resolution to get back into employment, pursue a career change, or even start your own business, then I’d encourage you to come along to one of our Job Club sessions at either Towcester or Brackley libraries."
The SNC Job Club offers advice from a wide range of experts who offer support and help with CV writing, covering letters and applications forms, information on all the latest local vacancies, apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities as well as debt, money and welfare advice.
The SNC Job Match service also matches potential employees with local businesses. This free and confidential service helps job seekers to find the right job for them and businesses to find employees with the skills and experience they require. Our Job Match advisors are up-to-date on current vacancies and have well established relationships with a wide range of local companies.
For those thinking of potentially setting up their own business, the SNC Enterprise Club advisor is also available to offer advice and support to get you started.
Job Club takes place every Tuesday between 11:30am and 1:30pm, alternating between Brackley and Towcester Libraries. The next session will be taking place at Towcester Library, The Forum on Tuesday, 14 January 2020. There is no requirement to book in advance.
