In the recent Northamptonshire Chamber Awards, local employers took the top spot in five out of the nine categories, as well as the overall winner, who received a cash prize of £10,000.

Variohm EuroSensor, based in Old Tiffield Road, Towcester won the Chamber Awards grand title of Business of the Year and was also named Exporter of the Year.

Variohm director Graham Pattison said: “‘It’s fantastic to win this award because it means so much to the whole team.

"Over the past few years our business model has changed dramatically, increasing our in-house production capabilities, enabling us to offer custom solution products.

"For this to be successful everyone has really pulled together and worked so hard. As a result, this is a very exciting time for our business and I’m so proud of our entire team.

"We are really proud to be a business who is contributing to the success of the South Northamptonshire area.

"Looking ahead we believe our business is equipped to expand and develop further. Hopefully that will lead to even more awards for our company and the people who work for us."

The SME Northamptonshire Business Awards, which have been sponsored by South Northamptonshire Council, announce their winners next week on Thursday 26 September.
