Expanding on the success of previous Youth Activator Sessions, this summer it will reach more children than before by visiting six South Northamptonshire communities.
The sessions are aimed at those aged between seven and 13 and feature a range of team sports led by security checked activity leaders.
Cllr Karen Cooper, SNC’s portfolio holder for wellbeing, said: “Six week’s away from school and away from their friends can make the holiday drag for some young people.
“These sessions will bring together children from across the community as well as keeping them healthy and active. I hope they will provide them with lasting memories and friendships.”
Youth Activator Sessions take place between 11:30am and 12:30pm, at: the Hartwell Community Centre playing field on Monday, 5 August, Towcester Centre for Leisure all-weather pitch on Tuesday 6, Roade Village Hall playing field on Wednesday 7, King’s Sutton Memorial Hall playing field on Thursday 8, Greens Norton playing field on Monday 12 and Brackley Leisure Centre playing field on Tuesday, 13 August
