South Northamptonshire Council’s (SNC) draft Air Quality Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) is designed to give developers clear information on how their applications will be judged in terms of air quality.

A public consultation seeking representations on the draft SPD will run from Monday, 15 July until 4:00pm Friday, 16 August 2019.

Cllr Phil Bignell, portfolio holder for planning, said: “Good air quality is a fundamental to a long and happy life.

“We believe this draft policy is a big step towards improving and protecting the district’s environment and I would urge people to read the document and share their opinions to ensure the policy is the best it can be.”

Hard copies of the SPD are also available from the SNC offices at The Forum in Towcester and from libraries across the district.
