The event at Towcester Recreation Ground on Sunday, 23 June was organised by South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) and the highlights were a demonstration by Northants Police Road Crime Unit, Fire & Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service on how they deal with serious road traffic collisions and Northants Police Dog.

Local youth groups and sports clubs also supported the show while recruiting new members.

Cllr Karen Cooper, SNC’s portfolio holder for wellbeing, said: “It was a wonderful day with some exciting demonstrations.

“I was also very glad to see so many families on the day interacting with real police, fire and ambulance personnel.

“Days like this do a great deal to build bonds between these vital services and the communities they serve. It was a great chance to learn some important safety messages while having a fun day out.

“My thanks go to SNCs Community Safety Officer Gary Crook, his team and everyone who supported this invaluable event”
