Screwfix is the latest big name to open its doors in Towcester as South Northants continues to attract world class businesses to the District.

The last year has seen a number of new and innovative companies invest in South Northamptonshire including:
- Aston Martin at Silverstone
- Warren’s Bakery in Towcester
- Euro Garages Service Station at junction 16 of the M1 (home to Starbucks, Greggs, Subway, Krispy Kreme and Spar)
- Screwfix in Towcester
- Marston’s Brewery are opening a new bar and hotel in Brackley called the Paisley Pear in July.
Between them they will be creating new jobs for local people and suppliers as well as giving residents and visitors more choice and reasons to spend money within the district.
The Economic Growth team at South Northamptonshire Council work closely with the Planning Team to support new businesses looking to move to the area and offer them strategic advice at every stage of their journey.
SNC Chairman, Cllr Rosie Herring officially opened the Screwfix store in Towcester on Thursday 30 May. She commented: ”It is wonderful to see so many new businesses opening up in the district. A thriving local economy benefits everyone who lives and works in the area.
“Here in South Northamptonshire we have many features that are attractive to business including: high skills levels; great road and rail links and a thriving and dynamic business community and of course our Economic Growth team are on hand to help with all the guidance and support you need to develop and grow.”
