As members of the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) the council, is for the first time, taking part in a national survey to assess the quality of these two services.

Cllr Dermot Bambridge, SNC’s portfolio holder for Environmental Services, said: “We’re 7th in the national league table of recycling authorities and our waste and recycling collection team were finalists in the APSE Performance Networks Awards in December.

“So there are some good reasons to think we are doing things well. But none of that counts if our service doesn’t meet the needs of our residents.

“These surveys are being carried out by authorities up and down the country and ask firstly what is important to residents and then invites them to rate the quality of those services.

“So please take just a few minutes to complete these surveys and help us to make sure we are directing your Council Tax and our efforts to the right place.”
