Early evening sports sessions which are free to anyone aged 11 to 14, have kicked off in South Northamptonshire.

Hosted by South Northamptonshire Council’s (SNC) Youth Activators, the sessions feature a range of sports designed to keep young people active in a safe and dry environment.
Cllr Karen Cooper, SNC’s portfolio holder for Wellbeing, said: ”Encouraging children and young teenagers to get some exercise is all well and good, but we have to give them somewhere to go.
“These sessions are free and the youngsters have activity options to choose from. As well as exercise, they get to meet others, make new friends and learn to work as a team.”
Sports include: dodgeball, football, kwik cricket, basketball, capture the flag, tag rugby and more.
Sessions take place at Brackley Leisure Centre on the first and third Friday of the month between 7:00pm and 8:00pm and every Thursday at Towcester Centre for Leisure between 5:00pm and 6 :00pm.
