Organised by the Cllr Richard Dallyn, Chairman of South Northamptonshire Council, more than 60 people took part and raised £504 for Katharine House, Cynthia Spencer and Willen hospices.

Cllr Dallyn said:  “I was especially impressed with the number of young families who showed the grit and determination to drag themselves away from their dry homes on a Sunday morning to join their community in support of some very worthwhile cause.

“And even in the rain the Watermeadows have a certain majesty to them. If you haven’t discovered it yet, the Watermeadows are a great place to get some fresh air, walk the dog and are close to the town centre if you want a hot drink or meal after your stroll.”
