Local Green Space Consultation
The Part 2 Plan looks at how the district could develop over the next fifteen years and includes a preferred policy approach.
South Northamptonshire Council is carrying out a focused consultation on its Technical Assessment of those areas of land nominated to it for designation as local green space. The document is the South Northamptonshire Local Plan Part 2: Local Green Space Assessment Report (2018) that sets out the technical assessment and conclusions in respect of the potential local green spaces that were nominated to the District Council during previous consultation periods on the Plan. It is important that the Council gives the opportunity for representations to be made on these important new elements to the Plan.
Consultation responses should be made in writing and either emailed, or posted to the Planning Policy Team. Details of how to respond are set out within the Technical Assessment Explanatory Note. Responses must be received by noon on Friday 29 June 2018.
Hard copies of the assessment, and the explanatory note can also be viewed at the five local libraries – Towcester, Brackley, Roade, Middleton Cheney, Deanshanger (for opening times visit the library pages on the County Council’s website at Northamptonshire Library Service)
Once completed all responses received will be placed on the website in due course and will be used to prepare the next round of the Local Plan Part 2, which will be published for consultation in the Summer of 2018.
