If you’re new to jogging, there’re several local jogging groups for complete beginners that you can try. The groups are part of Jog Northants, a countywide programme that helps those new to running or who’ve not exercised in a long time. Since Jog Northants started in 2010, 364 people have joined one of the local jogging groups.
The groups are all led by qualified and insured leaders who guide participants through a series of low intensity gentle walking and jogging programmes. Leaders will also provide new runners with guidance on training, what kit to wear and how to avoid injury
