Maintenance of Equipment
Equipment provided through a Disabled Facilities Grant for example a stairlift or a through floor lift will normally become the property of the applicant.
We will generally pay for a standard warranty on the equipment as part of the grant. When the warranty comes to an end the applicant is responsible for continuing to maintain the equipment at their own cost which they may choose to do by extending the warranty.
Further funding is not available to repair/replace equipment that has not been adequately maintained. The applicant is responsible for removing any equipment/adaptation if it is no longer required.
