What documentation do I need to submit with my planning application?
The documentation that you need to submit with your application will vary depending on the type of application being made. If you are unsure whether you require planning permission, please consider the guidance on our website:
Please refer to our Validation Guidance for detailed guidance on the national requirements and for instructions on how to ensure that you submit a valid application (we do not have our own local requirements).
We use the 1APP National Standard Application Forms both for manual paper forms and online submission of electronic planning applications. For instructions on how to submit your application, please follow the link below:
If you submit the appropriate Validation Checklist with your application, it will be reviewed for validation before other applications received the same day without the appropriate checklist.
Please note: If you do not provide all the required information with your application, we will write to you advising what additional information we require and request that you either submit this or contact us within 28 days. If the documentation is not submitted within this timeframe and you do not contact us, you will be liable for an administration fee of £25/£50 or £250 depending on the type of application.
