Interim rural housing planning policy

Important please note in July 2015 we agreed to revoke this Policy.

In 2009 we adopted a more flexible and positive approach that addressed appeal decisions and allowed housing development on suitable sites in appropriate villages that retained control over the planning of housing development within the District until such time as at least a five year supply of housing land was secured or there was an up to date policy in the Local Development Framework. We can now demonstrate a 5 year supply of housing land and the Joint Core Strategy has been adopted.
