Waste and Recycling

A new recycling and waste scheme is being introduced in South Northamptonshire this summer. There will be a gradual introduction of the scheme and all households will be on the new scheme by the end of September.

Your new collections will start once you receive your blue bin and caddies. We will keep information on the website about the old scheme and new scheme until every household has been transferred to the new scheme.

The new scheme is for householders who have had their two food caddies and blue recycling bin delivered.

old scheme

The old scheme is for householders who currently still use recycling boxes.


Rubbish and recycling collections in South Northants occur over a 4 day week. Your collections could happen any time between 7am and 5pm (subject to breakdowns) so please make sure your bins and boxes are ready for collection from 7am.
