Schools Recycling

School recycling is collected fortnightly the same day as the household recycling in the village or town the school is in. Approximately 80% of this can be recycled.

Schools can recycle using the same colour bins as at home, with blue bins collected fortnightly, and food waste collected weekly.

All schools have been sent a collection calendar, but please let us know if you need a replacement.

Please note, bins must be out for collection by 7:00 am on collection day. Collections will occur between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm that day.

If your school would like to book a visit from the Northants Waste Bus or an assembly on a waste and recycling theme, please visit Slim Your Bin At School to find out more. This free service is run by the Northamptonshire Waste & Energy Education Team for Secondary Schools and pupils in KS 1 & 2. Landfill tours for community groups and schools can also be arranged.
