We have received proposals from Persimmon and Bloor Homes for a large development south of Towcester, which they have called Towcester Vale. Two planning applications have been submitted toWest Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC) which has planning powers to determine major strategic applications in Northampton, Towcester and Daventry. A separate application has also been submitted to South Northamptonshire Council because part of the proposals fall outside the WNDC area.

Application A
Application A with a reference 07/0374/OUTWNS is an outline planning application for the creation of a new mixed use neighbourhood at Towcester, and includes:
WNDC will determine this application and comments will need to be submitted to WNDC.
Application B and C
Application B with a reference 07/0375/FULWNS and Application C with a reference S/2008/0037/P are full planning applications for a new grade separated junction onto the A43. Due to the boundary of the urban development area in which WNDC determines planning applications, the western half of the grade separated junction proposed to join the A5 bypass to the A43 has been submitted to South Northamptonshire Council for their determination. This is known as Application C. Application B for the eastern half of the grade separated junction has been submitted to WNDC for their determination.
In summary, WNDC is the local planning authority for application A and B and South Northamptonshire Council for application C.
Application A and B can be viewed through WNDC’s website. They are also available to view at WNDC offices between the hours of 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm Monday to Friday.

Comments on all applications need to be received by 28th March 2008. You should be aware that if your comments are received any later, the application may have already been determined. It is standard practice to give 21 days for responses but due to the significant nature of these proposals we have allowed longer.
