TOWCESTER MASTERPLAN – PUBLIC CONSULTATION (26th JUNE – 7TH August 2009)
The Draft Towcester Masterplan has been published for public consultation.The draft Masterplan provides a framework for the future of Towcester over the next 15 years. The Draft Masterplan was approved for consultation by the South Northamptonshire Cabinet at the meeting on the 8th June 2009. The Masterplan was produced by Urban Initiatives on behalf of the South Northamptonshire Council, the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation and Northamptonshire Enterprise Limited
There are several documents available in relation to this consultation:
The Towcester Masterplan
The Towcester Masterplan sets out a vision of what the future of the town might be over the next 10-15 years and contains a set of concepts. The plan is concerned with building a new enhanced and expanded vibrant attractive market town, not creating a city. It is a guide to and does not prescribe future development. The plan sets out a framework for shaping and guiding future development and is not prescriptive, though it will constitute a material consideration in considering planning applications
The Consultation Leaflet
The consultation period runs from the 26th June to the 7th August 2009. There is a consultation leaflet which accompanies the Draft Masterplan. The consultation leaflet contains the following documents:

A Pull – Out Equality Monitoring Form in relation to Equalities

Consultation Responses
Consultees are invited to write to the Council with their comments on the Draft Masterplan and to complete the consultation questionnaire and Equal Monitoring Form found within the Consultation Leaflet. The Council can provide pre paid envelope if required or alternatively documentation can be handed in at the Council to the Planning Reception on the 1st Floor of the main Council Offices in Towcester.
The Council have also set up a specific email address for which people are welcome to email their comments. The email address is towcestermasterplan@southnorthants.gov.uk. Can you please ensure when emailing the Council that you provide your full postal address.
Exhibitions
There will be two exhibitions where officers will be able to answer any questions. These will be held at the following locations:
1. Exhibition 1 – at Towcester Town Council Offices at Towcester Town Hall Watling Street, Towcester NN12 6BS

Copies of the Draft Towcester Masterplan will be available for inspection during normal office hours at:
