The Towcester Masterplan sets out a vision of what the future of the town might be over the next 10-15 years and contains a set of concepts. The plan is concerned with building a new enhanced and expanded vibrant market town. It is a guide to and does not prescribe future development.The plan sets out a framework for shaping and guiding future development and is not prescriptive, though it will constitute a material consideration in considering planning applications.
An update of the Towcester Masterplan was provided to the SNC Cabinet at its 8th February 2010 meeting. The Updated Cabinet Report for Towcester Masterplan provides a summary of the consultation responses recieved during the consultation period and next steps for completing the project.
The Draft Towcester Masterplan was published for public consultation and the consultation has been completed.The draft Masterplan provides a framework for the future of Towcester over the next 15 years. The Draft Masterplan was approved for consultation by the South Northamptonshire Cabinet at the meeting on the 8th June 2009. The Masterplan was produced by Urban Initiatives on behalf of the South Northamptonshire Council, the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation and Northamptonshire Enterprise Limited
