Strike action on 16 and 17 July – refuse and recycling

09-Jul-2008

Two days of national strike action are planned for Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 July 2008, which may have an impact on the refuse and recycling collection services provided by South Northamptonshire Council.

On these days please place your wheeled bin and recycling box out for collection as normal.  If they are not collected by the end of Thursday 17 July, please leave the bins and boxes out to allow us to catch up.

We will try to do this by Saturday 19 July 2008.

Councillor Andrew Grant, portfolio holder for the environment said: “Our refuse and recycling team is working hard to ensure that as far as possible, services can still be provided on 16 and 17 July.

“The full impact of the action will not be known until the Wednesday morning and we do ask people to bear with us on the day. We apologise for any inconvenience that residents may experience on the day."
