Chairman of South Northamptonshire Council and Mayor of Towcester helps to launch Towcester’s Poppy Appeal

Friday 23 October, saw the launch of South Northamptonshire’s Poppy Appeal. This is part of The Royal British Legion’s national Poppy Appeal to remember those people who gave their lives for peace and freedom, and honour those still fighting today.

Councillor David Aaronson, Chairman of South Northamptonshire Council, and Chris Lofts, the Mayor of Towcester, together with representatives of the British Legion gathered on Friday to mark the launch of the appeal. They are encouraging local residents to wear a poppy with pride and continue to show the generosity that they have done in previous years.
