South Northamptonshire Council are calling on local residents to take part in art workshops, to create a wall hanging for the new Brackley Customer Service Centre.
To celebrate the opening of the new office the Council is hosting art workshops at Brackley Town Hall on Friday, 10 July 2009.
Cabinet Member for Community Engagement Cllr Andrew Wilby said: “The Council is asking anyone that has a story to tell and is able to take us on a trip down memory lane to come along.
“You don’t need to be artistic we just want your thoughts on how to create a wall hanging for the new office.”
The people of Brackley are being asked to share with the Council their memories of the town.
This includes: photos, poems and stories you have to tell.
People have been invited to the workshops to share their thoughts and memories with local artist Anna Steiner.
Individual community groups have been invited to the work shops and the Council is encouraging residents to get involved.
There will be four sessions:
· 10am to 11.15am
· 11.30am to 12.45pm
