Local access point for business support

Even more businesses in South Northamptonshire will have a chance to access a wealth of business support thanks to local Access Points set up by Business Link and its partners.

 


Over the next six months, Business Link will set up temporary Access Points in Brackley, Towcester and Silverstone as part of its Open Doors initiative. There will be 10 such facilities across Northamptonshire.

The Access Points will operate an appointment system and will open regularly for several days a month.  Sessions will switch between offering help for start up businesses and help for companies that have been running for over 12 months.

Dates and times for Brackley are:
Barclays Bank, 21 Market Place, Brackley, NN13 7AH 

Established Businesses (Trading at least 12 months)
Tuesdays 10am to 4pm

Wednesdays 10am to 4pm

Silverstone Innovation Centre, Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, NN12 8GX

Dates and times for Towcester are:

South Northamptonshire Offices, Moat House, Moat Lane, Towcester, Northamptonshire, NN12 6AD.

Darren Mercieca, Area Manager for Business Link in Northamptonshire said: “We have seen an increase in enquiries from companies in what is a difficult economic climate.  Business Link advisers can open doors to a huge range of support services and information which can really make a difference to the buoyancy of businesses and the confidence and skills of business people.

We are committed to working with our partners to ensure that Business Link, a free service, is made as accessible as possible.”
From June until December 2009, temporary Access Points will be set up in the following towns: Brackley, Corby, Daventry, Kettering, Northampton, Raunds, Rushden, Silverstone, Towcester, Wellingborough.
 
Stephen Smith, Chief Executive of EMB, the organisation that delivers the Business Link service on behalf of emda says, “The Access Points are an enhancement to Business Link’s ongoing service and will give people greater choice on where and how they can make contact with us.  These sessions in key locations around the county provide an ideal option for local companies seeking business advice.”
