Bin and box collections week commencing 9 February 2009

There will be no bin and box collections on Monday, 9 February 2009 due to the amount of compacted ice and snow that is lying on roads and pavements.
Black bins
Emptying of black bins is a priority and we will empty these when the roads and pavements are safer so please leave your black bin out for now.
For the black bins not collected last week we will try to catch up as soon as the conditions of the roads and pavements improve. Please continue to leave your black bin out and we will get to it when it is safe.
Green bins
We are suspending green bin collections for the rest of this week (9 Feb) – this will enable extra vehicles to be used throughout South Northamptonshire to collect the backlog of black bins.
Green bins not collected last week will be emptied on the next normal collection day during the week commencing 16 Feb 09 if the weather allows.
Recycling boxes
Recycling boxes will be emptied in accordance with the recycling calendar. If your recycling box is not emptied on your normal day this week please take it back in and save it until your next collection day for that type of material – make sure you check your collection calendar for the right day.

Please remember that all of your glass must be in the box and we will not collect glass from plastic bags in case of any breakages and injury this may cause.
