Young people and democracy

South Northamptonshire Youth Council speaks up for young people in the area and has money to spend on things it thinks are worth doing locally.

Youth Council

It has been running since 1998 and is made up of students from Years 11, 12 and 13 from the six schools in the South Northamptonshire district (Campion, Chenderit, Kingsbrook, Magdalen, Roade and Sponne).

The Youth Council tell us what it thinks on a number of important youth issues and this helps councillors come to the right decisions.

The Youth Council meets 6 or 8 times a year.
