Commercial Waste
Are you running a shop, office, café, factory, hotel or any other business?
If so we can offer you a competitive and reliable commercial waste collection service. We have a range of bin sizes and different payment options - we have the bin to suit your business! We can even offer refuse sacks if bin storage is a problem.
What is the law?
Businesses cannot just dump waste at the household tip or in household bins. You must use a contractor to get rid of your waste for you properly and safely. This contractor can be either the local council or a licensed waste collection company.
You also have what is called a Duty of Care to take all reasonable steps to keep your waste stored securely and safely.
What is the cost for this service?
Business Rates do not cover the removal of waste from business premises.
Our commercial waste collection service is a weekly service, and can cost as little as £195 every year. VAT is not applicable. Contact us for a competitive price.
What will the Council collect?
We collect a wide range of rubbish. However, we cannot collect asbestos through your commercial bin. For safe removal of any asbestos, please refer to the Yellow Pages.
What about recycling?
In 2009-10 we ran a free commercial recycling trial in Silverstone and Towcester to see if there was the demand for such a scheme in South Northamptonshire. In September 2010 this trial came to a close, as there was very little participation from the commercial customers who were offered the service. Unfortunately, we have no plans to extend the trial or implement a permanent service, but please contact us if you would like some advice on how to deal with your business waste and recycling.
