The Council's Business Plan 2013-14
Our Business Plan is a high level, strategic document which outlines the Council’s ambitions and corporate priorities for 2013/14. In addition, it explains in more detail the projects and activities that the Council will be delivering in order to achieve its key objectives and how progress and success will be measured and monitored.
Priority setting and planning is also informed by the communities’ views and customers’ views. The approach the Council is taking to enable and encourage communities to be involved and to give feedback/views is currently being reviewed recognising the changes that the Government is introducing regarding local decision making. Further information about how to give your views and engage with council decisions can be found in the Have Your Say section.
Each division of the Council has a business plan with details of the service areas, resources, tasks and performance measures. A summary version of all the plans is available and for further information about these or other Council’s Plans please contact the Performance and Insight Team.

The Council’s approach to Performance Management is established on a firm principle of Plan, Deliver and Review. Our Performance Management Framework supports this process.
The objective of the Framework is to ensure that everyone who is working for the Council knows what it is trying to achieve and why, is clear how well the Council is progressing with and completing the achievements and is clear how performance can be improved or plans reviewed if necessary.
Information relating to these activities is available to Members of the public, organisations and businesses through our website or by contacting the Performance and Insight Team at the Council.
