Online Planning Applications Register

You can search online for any planning applications submitted since 1974. Searching is possible by location, applicant’s name, dates and planning reference.

Full details of planning applications are provided, covering the whole planning process including appeal information. You can even find where you are in the planning process and make comments online. Plans and documents are also included in the planning register for consultation purposes.

However, the planning information provided is not a full planning history of any site.  It should not be regarded as an alternative to the information provided through a formal Local Land Charges Search. The information is not a formal notification of any planning decision.

WNDC (West Northamptonshire Development Corporation) - Transfer of powers, 31st March 2012

As from the above date planning functions for certain types of developments will revert back to the relevant local authority.  This is as a result of a government decision to help focus the resources of WNDC on larger regeneration projects.

To search on an application dealt with by WNDC either click on 'show all WNDC applications' on the first page of the planning register or select 'enter search criteria' and input the WNDC reference number in the application field.

For discharge of conditions applications, please enter the application number for the original application to which it relates and view the detail on the documents tab.

Planning status

All applications on the system are given a planning status so that you know where they are in the planning process - see list below.

1  Received - Application received in the department
2  Valid -  Application is valid
3  Pending - Case Officer allocated to application
4  Pending - Consults Despatched, Awaiting Reply - When initial consultation letters are sent to neighbours or consultee
5  Pending - Site Visit Completed - Date of site visit undertaken
6  Pending - Additional Info/Amendments Requested - When amended plans are requested by case officer
7  Pending - Additional Info/Amendments Received - When amended plans are received by case officer
8  Pending - Draft Recommendation Completed - When draft recommendation is passed to Principal Planner
9  Pending - Awaiting Committee Meeting - When a committee meeting date is agreed for the application
10 The decision -  Once an application is given a decision it will appear in the status
