Apply to be on Housing Register
Although the Council does not now own any affordable housing, we are still responsible for the housing register which is the list that people need to apply to go onto if they are in housing need. We can put people forward from the housing register for many of these housing association properties although joining the housing register is not a guarantee of being offered a home.
When we allocate properties to people on the register we try to give them to the people in most need, so people who are homeless or who have to move for medical reasons may be given preference. For more information, please read our Allocations Information Booklet.
To apply to get on the housing register, you need to complete an application form.
If you have a medical condition or care and support needs, you will also need to complete our Medical Assessment Form and send this to us with your application form.
