Payment methods

You can make payments to South Northamptonshire Council in the following ways:

 

PAY - by Direct Debit from your bank account

Please complete the details on the relevant direct debit form and post it to the address shown on the form.

PAY - online using your debit or credit card

You can pay for the following services using our 24 hour internet payment system. We accept payment over the internet by VISA, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro and Visa Delta.

Please note there will be a 1.8% surcharge on all credit card transactions to cover the additional charges incurred by the council. Payments by Debit Card are free.

PAY - by phone using your debit or credit card

Touch Phone
You can pay over the phone using our Touch Phone service at any time using Maestro, Delta, Visa or Mastercard.

Via Customer Services

If you would prefer to talk to one of our Customer Advisers, to make your payment, please call 01327 322 190 from 08:45 – 17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:45 to 16:45 on Friday.

PAY - with cash at Post Offices or any PayPoint location

You can pay for the following services free of charge at any PayPoint location.

Allpay cards can be used to make Council Tax payments at PayPoint outlets and Post Offices free of charge. Cash payments can be made anywhere you see the PayPoint sign. Post Offices will accept payments by cash, cheque or debit card.

PAY - by standing order

If you wish, you can set up a standing order with your bank to pay for the following services:

You must quote your Council Tax account number as a reference and allow five working days for standing order payments to reach us.

Please note - this is an expensive way for us to collect payments. We would prefer you to pay by Direct Debit if you are able to help us keep our costs down.

PAY - by Girobank payment

You can make a Girobank payment at any Post Office to our account number 4145127. You must quote your name, address and Council Tax account number. Please allow five working days for Girobank payments to reach us. Please note, Girobank may make a small charge for this service.
