We all know that using public transport is better for the environment and can work out cheaper than owning and maintaining a car.
Visit Northamptonshire County Council's website for lots of information on public transport in the county including bus and train timetables, and general advice and information about public transport.
From April 2008 South Northamptonshire residents who are 60 or over or have an eligible disability can benefit from free off-peak travel on local buses anywhere in England. In order to take advantage of this free travel you must apply for a new concessionary bus pass.
You can download an Application Form (.doc) and Frequently Asked Questions (.doc) for South Northamptonshire Residents or you can contact South Northamptonshire Council on 0845 2300226 or 01327 322322.
If you are applying for a pass on the grounds of disability and require a letter for your doctor to complete click here to download a template for your doctor to fill in (pdf) or contact us to obtain a copy.
Please complete the application form and provide original documents as proof of eligibility and call at the address below during office hours. If you are unable to visit the office we are currently able to accept postal applications.
