The finishing touches are being made to an action-packed programme of summer holiday activities following the success of South Northamptoshire Councilís (SNC) half term activity hubs.

This summer sessions will be held at Magdalen College School in Brackley and Caroline Chisholm School in Northampton starting Monday, 24 July.

The hubs boast an invigorating mix of sports, arts, crafts and games to keep children happy and active during the school holidays.

Cllr Karen Cooper, SNC's portfolio holder for community engagement and wellbeing, said: ďIt was great to see the half-term hubs at Winchester House School so well received, as youngsters formed new friendships, got creative, and improved their sporting skills.

"Many parents will now be looking forward to the summer hubs, which will offer six weeks of sports, games, arts and crafts with a wonderful variety of guest activities being programmed.

"For parents who will be out at work during the summer holidays, the hubs offer a great solution to childcare problems, while ensuring the kids are kept happy and active."

As part of a lively and varied half term hub programme, children enjoyed guest activities such as gymnastics, tennis, dodgeball athletics and dance, alongside the main programme of multi-sports, arts and crafts.

The summer activity hubs will run from Monday, 24 July to Friday, 1 September and all the staff running the sessions are DBS (formerly CRB) checked.

Full day sessions, from 8:45am to 5:00pm, cost £18.95 per session while the shorter session from 8:45am to 3:00pm costs £14.95. Places are limited and must be booked in advance on a first-come-first-served basis.

Booking details for the summer activity hubs will be confirmed in the near future.
