Both the Policy and Heritage Sections have produced what is termed Supplementary Planning Guidance, which is intended to clarify and expand Local Plan policies and to provide guidance on planning related subjects.
Special Planning Guidance documents (SPGs) are available in the Planning Policy Document Library and are all prefixed with the letters 'SPG'. This section also contains other useful documents that may be downloaded.
Planning briefs are produced for significant development proposals identified in the Local Plan. They set out in more detail the form development should take, e.g. road pattern, housing layout and design, landscape, public open space, etc.
