South Northamptonshire has something for all ages and interests, from Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral home of George Washington and the beautiful landscaped gardens at Castle Ashby, to the excitement of horse racing at Towcester Racecourse and motor racing at Silverstone. As well as the lovely old market towns of Brackley and Towcester, the district also has many miles of beautiful unspoilt countryside and woodland, with well-signed trails for walking, cycling and horse riding, canal-side towpath walks, golf courses and a breathtaking tree-top walk at Salcey forest.
