South Northamptonshire has very low crime rates but in comparison, the number of people who fear crime is relatively high.
We know some people in our local communities are worried by antisocial behaviour and crime in our local villages and towns and we are working with communities to identify problems and come up with solutions.

We are part of a community Safety Partnerhsip which means we work with the police, the county council, local health services, the probation service, connexions, the voluntary sector and local schools to improve safety in communities and reduce antisocial behaviour, crime and the fear of crime.
The community Safety Partnership is part of the Local Strategic Partnership who have produced a community Strategy to set out what issues we think are important and what we will all be working towards until 2008.

Lots of people tell us they would like to see more things for young people to do, to help keep them off the streets.
Project 5, which is funded and run by the Community Safety Partnership, runs a series of sports, arts and leisure activities for young people, including the mobile skate park which can come to your village.

We know that anti-social behaviour is a serious problem that affects the quality of life of individuals, families and communities. The Daventry District and South Northamptonshire Safer Stronger Partnership is committed to working across agencies to tackle and reduce anti-social behaviour in the area.
These standards are our commitment to you and set out what you can expect from South Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire Police and other partner organisations that are jointly responsible for dealing with anti-social behaviour in your community.
