ACE is project that aims to establish a cycling culture in the villages of Culworth, Eydon, Helmdon, Moreton Pinkney, Sulgrave, Thorpe Mandeville, Weedon Lois and Weston.
The activities include a family bike ride, a health walk, football skills, a climbing wall, Nordic Walking and Play Rangers. Under 16s can enter the cycle races on the day for only £1 per child, but will have to bring their own bike and helmet.
Colin Hull, Sports Development Officer, said: “I would like to thank Helmdon Primary School for hosting the first of hopefully many ACE road shows. There will be lots of activities for people to try and we want people to come along and have a go. The grand finale of the road show will be the youth cycle races.”
Friends of Helmdon Parish School will be manning refreshments stands and there will be free access to the school field. However a voluntary donation of £5 per family will help the school funds.
