The Planning Portal is the government's online service for planning. It provides useful tools and information in connection with the planning process.
Everything from a visual guide to planning permission for householder to fee calculators and satellite disk locator are included with the mainly pages of information. The Planning Portal supplements the information contained in the Planning and Building Regulations pages on this site

Development Services Reception is open during the working week at our Council HQ at Springfields in Towcester.
Here a Development Support Technical Officer, the Duty Planning Officer and the Duty Building Control Officer will be able to help you with general info. You can also use our computers for free, to get hold of more information and access services such as our on-line maps.
This reception is open:
- Monday to Thursday - 8:45 am to 5:15 pm and
- Friday - 8:45 am to 4:45pm.

Planning Aid
Planning Aid provides free, independent and professional advice and support on planning issues to people and communities who cannot afford to hire a planning consultant. Planning Aid complements the work of local authorities but is wholly independent of them. In most UK regions Planning Aid is run by the Royal Town Planning Institute (registered charity no. 262865).
