Roving reporters strike a note for climate change
Febr10
The pupils in Year Four, aged between eight and nine, have put together the paper which is full of reports, articles and adverts and focuses on climate change. As part of the project the students also experimented with the sounds made by electrical appliances during an energy workshop held at the school, and have rehearsed their own ‘energy orchestra’ ready for a presentation to parents on Thursday 11 February at 3pm.
The workshop was sponsored by South Northamptonshire District Council as part of its support for the Northamptonshire Climate Friendly Communities Programme, which involves all of the local authorities in Northamptonshire working in partnership to support a number of climate friendly communities across the county.
Many people from and around Pattishall have already agreed to be involved with the initiative and are keen to tackle climate change by developing activities with all members of the community that will help to reduce their carbon footprint.
