Setting standards for tackling anti-social behaviour

Organisations working to improve community safety in South Northamptonshire and Daventry District have published new standards that residents can expect from them when reporting and experiencing anti-social behaviour.

The Minimum Standards set out expectations for the level of service provided by agencies jointly responsible for dealing with anti-social behaviour as part of the Daventry District and South Northamptonshire Safer Stronger Partnership.

The partnership is made up of organisations including Daventry District Council, South Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire County Council and aims to tackle issues like crime, anti-social behaviour and alcohol and drug abuse.

The Anti-social Behaviour Minimum Standards are being published by community safety partnerships nationwide in response to central government guidelines.

They pledge to:

Jean Morgan, Chair of the Daventry District and South Northamptonshire Safer Stronger Partnership, said: "As a partnership we work together to tackle anti-social behaviour across the area and to reduce crime in particular hot-spots. The new standards demonstrate our commitment to improving quality of life for our residents.

“We hope that local people will work with us to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime in their area.”
