Soundbox is a new initiative aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour which provides youth diversionary activities on a Friday night for young people aged 13-19 in Towcester.

Made possible by using a multi-agency approach, Soundbox partners – including Towcester’s Vision Youth Café, Northamptonshire Voluntary Youth Action, Northamptonshire County Council, and South Northants Homes - work together to organise and run events that include positive activities, consultations, and information and education for local young people.

In addition to the Soundbox initiative, the Vision Youth Café are hosting an inter-generational graffiti workshop and a community consultation that aims to collect the views of local people, young people, local authorities and local organisations and groups as to the desirability for legal graffiti space in Towcester.

The workshop and consultation are part of an open evening at the Vision Youth Café, Islington Road, Towcester, on Wednesday 8 September from 5 to 8pm.

The next Soundbox event, for 14-19 year olds, is around the theme of fire safety and will take place at the Vision Youth Café on 29 October from 5 to 10pm.
