Archaeological finds expert to visit South Northants

Back to listings

Have you found something that might be of archaeological interest? South Northamptonshire Council will be hosting a ‘Finds Surgery’, where members of the public can have their archaeological finds identified and recorded.

Julie Cassidy, from the Portable Antiquities Scheme, will be visiting the council’s Springfields office in Towcester to see anyone who wants to discuss their archaeological finds, whether they were found whilst digging in the garden, using a metal detector, or even just noticed whilst on a walk.

So if you have found a man-made object that may be over 300 years old, why not bring it along on Friday 28 January, between 2pm and 4pm to officially record your discovery?
