Interim Rural Housing Planning Policy

Important please note in July 2015 the Council agreed to revoke this Policy.

In 2009 the Council adopted a more flexible and positive approach that addressed appeal decisions and allowed housing development on suitable sites in appropriate villages that retained control over the planning of housing development within the District until such time as at least a five year supply of housing land was secured or there was an up to date policy in the Local Development Framework. The Council can now demonstrate a 5 year supply of housing land and the JCS has been adopted.

Interim Affordable Housing Policy

In February 2013 the Council adopted an interim Affordable Housing Policy. This sets out the Council's position in negotiations regarding affordable housing provision. Following the adoption of the JCS the Council will be revoking this Policy in 2016.
