A Sustainable Rural Economy

The Council works hard to secure rural communities that are sustainable, vibrant and thriving. This section includes practical sources of advice and guidance to help strengthen our village economies to help make them more sustainable.

In addition, Green Tourism such as walking, cycling and equestrian activities as well as the promotion of village and farm shops and where to eat and drink, help to draw people to the villages. This increases the footfall for village shops, pubs and other commercial activities vital to the rural economy.
