Emergency Planning

Emergency Planning is all about making sure that you have adequate contingency plans in place should you be involved with a situation that presents itself as an emergency - whether that be leaving a spare house key with a neighbour if you are concerned that you may lock yourself out of your house, or taking a first aid kit on holiday.

South Northamptonshire Council Emergency Planning consists of ensuring that we are as well-prepared as is practically possible for the event of a major emergency (police term "major incident") that affects our community.

Advice from central government follows the "Go In, Stay In, Tune In" theme - i.e. go indoors, stay indoors, and tune in to local television and radio stations for current advice.
